SAN ANTONIO – A garbage collector was killed Tuesday morning in a trash compactor in San Antonio.
Bexar County Sheriff's Office officials said a Metro Waste Systems employee was found around 10:15 a.m. in the solid waste truck in the 1300 block of Dezarae.
It's not known how the worker ended up in the truck.
A neighbor told KSAT-TV that she saw the victim pick up a couple of trash bins, and the next thing she knew there was a huge commotion around the truck.
Deputies were in the process of notifying the victim's family.
