Gas odor evacuates Florida Technical College in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. -

A building at Florida Technical College in Orlando was evacuated Thursday morning because of a gas odor, which sent one person to a hospital.

The evacuation occurred around 9:45 a.m. at 12900 Challenger Parkway.

The building was ventilated and the occupants were later allowed to return.

Three people complained about not feeling well, and one was taken to a hospital, Orange County fire officials said.

The cause of the odor was not immediately known and is being investigated.
