Gas prices holding steady in Florida

Prices will most likely stay consistent through holidays

ORLANDO, Fla. – It looks like Florida's gas prices will hold steady during the holiday season.

Prices are up 11 cents from this time last year, but they have decreased over the last month.

In October, most states saw a steady drop in gas prices, but in Florida, the numbers were more mixed.

According to AAA, Florida's price per gallon declined in early October but rose as the month went on. The surge was a result of increased demand after Hurricane Matthew.

Toward the end of October, gas prices declined in Florida.

AAA said that prices traditionally fall toward the end of the year. Last year, there was a large price drop because of oil prices decreasing. However, reports showed that a price drop is less likely this year.
