Girl shot walking from bus stop in Lehigh Acres, deputies say
Lehigh Acres juvenile female shot in lower leg
Authorities in southwest Florida say a girl was shot on her way home from the bus stop.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call in Lehigh Acres Thursday shortly after 2 p.m.
Responding deputies found a female juvenile with a gunshot wound to her lower leg. She was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital. Her injuries are not considered life threatening.
The girl's age and identity have not been released.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 239-477-1000 or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
