Good deed prompts police chase, arrest in Seminole County

Gas station clerk tries to return $50 to woman

CASSELBERRY, Fla. – A woman was arrested after a police chase in Seminole County that started with a gas station clerk trying to do a good deed.

According to Seminole County sheriff's deputies, the woman, later identified as Christina Hines, left $50 at the gas station, and the clerk tried to return the money to her.  Hines drove off before that, however, so a nearby deputy tried to pull her over to give her the money, officials said.

Deputies, who learned Hines had a suspended license, pursued her and used Stop Sticks to disable her vehicle, according to officials.

Seminole County deputies said they found heroin in Hines' car.

She was arrested and taken to jail.
