GPS tracker leads to DeLand bank robbery arrest

Robber took money from TD Bank with GPS tracker in it, police say

DeLAND, Fla. – DeLand police arrested two men on Wednesday they say were involved in a bank robbery.

Police said Jacob Palfery, 34, went into the TD bank on South Spring Garden Avenue in DeLand and demanded money just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Palfery left with the money, which had a GPS tracker in it and allowed police to track it down.

Police said when they stopped the car with the GPS tracker at the Perkins Restaurant parking lot, they found Michael Raymond, 44. Raymond is being charged as an accessory to the robbery.

Palfery is being charged with the robbery and a third person was determined to have not been involved.
