More families are being allowed back into the Lake County resort where a sinkhole opened up and caused a three-story building to cave in.
Managers at the Summer Bay Resort in Clermont on Wednesday met with guests who were evacuated on Monday and were given compensation to cover some of the cost of their belongings.
Some of the guests will be allowed back into their rooms on Wednesday to pick up whatever they can.
Summer Bay Resort President Paul Caldwell said at a news conference on Tuesday that gas is back on and power has been restored to most units after the two-floor-deep and 100 feet across sinkhole opened up Sunday night at around 10:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, geologists say they're confident the sinkhole is not growing.
