AVENTURA, Fla. – According to Guinness World Records, the largest chocolate mousse was created in Florida.
Records show that the new world record mousse was prepared during Aventura Mall's annual Chocolate Festival on Oct. 6th. The mall announced the record title on Monday. Two chefs, along with culinary students, endured five hours of non-stop pastry preparation to create the mousse that weighed in at 496 pounds. The previous record of 313 pounds was set in France in 2010.

What's in the world's largest chocolate mousse? Sixty-six pounds of butter, 108 pounds of chocolate, 24 pounds of egg yolk, 20 pounds of sugar, 50 quarts of heavy cream and five gallons of milk.
The goal was also to raise funds for the non-profit organization, Children's Craniofacial Association.
