ORLANDO, Fla. -

Deputies are on the lookout for a gunman who stole cash from an Orlando Publix.

The gunman entered the Publix store at 4501 Hoffner Ave. after 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Deputies said the man acted as a customer and approached the register with items as if he was going to pay for them.

The man showed the clerk a gun and demanded money. The Orange County Sheriff's Office said the clerk complied and the man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The store was open for business but no other employees noticed that the robbery had taken place, deputies said.

The robber was described by OCSO as a Hispanic man who is 30-40 years old. Detectives have not released surveillance video at this time.

No injuries were reported.
