Gunmen sought in Apopka Circle K robbery, deputies say

Deputies interview possible witnesses interviewed

APOPKA, Fla. – Orange County deputies are searching for the gunmen who they say robbed a convenience store late Monday night.

The robbery happened just before 11 p.m. at the Circle K on West McCormick Road in Apopka.

Deputies said two men walked into the store with guns and demanded money from the clerk, who handed over money before the assailants took off.

Detectives believe the gunmen may have left in a silver car, possibly a BMW or Mercedes.

Local 6 video taped investigators questioning several teenagers who were on bicycles, who deputies believe may have witnessed the robbery.

The clerk was not hurt during the incident, deputies said.

Investigators said they are reviewing surveillance video that captured the robbery.
