DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -

Hard Rock plans to open its third hotel and café in Central Florida when it expands to Daytona Beach.

The international themed restaurant chain will start construction on the Daytona Beach location by the end of 2013.

The Volusia County Hard Rock will feature a 375,000-square-foot hotel as well as the chain's iconic "Hard Rock Café." Both will be located in the 800 block of South Atlantic Avenue, about a half-mile south of International Speedway Boulevard.

The hotel and café are expected to open by February 2016 before hundreds of thousands of race fans arrive for the Daytona 500.

The hotel will have:

  • 250 rooms
  • 100 condos
  • Spa
  • Ballroom
  • Hard Rock store


The hotel will also feature a recording studio where guests can choose a guitar and record music that they can keep as a "souvenir."
