Heavy rain and wind for the gulf coast

Rain chances stay low through the weekend

As Tropical storm Karen moves through the Gulf of Mexico, it has a slight chances of strengthening into a weak hurricane some time Friday.

Dry air and upper level winds are keeping it at tropical storm strength with winds at 60 miles per hour.

Karen will make landfall somewhere between southern Louisiana and the big bend of Florida late Saturday into Sunday.

Mobile Bay will likely get several inches of rain and up to 60 mile per hour winds.

Dry air in Central Florida will keep rain chances at 10 percent Friday.

Rain chances will increase to 30 percent for Saturday and Sunday as well as next week.

Temperatures will be in the upper 80s near 90 Friday through next week.
