Helmet cam catches car cutting off motorcyclist

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A motorcyclist's helmet camera captured the moments when a driver of a car nearly hit him as she went off the roadway to get around him.

Kevin Shrader said he was cruising around on his motorcycle after church Sunday, heading north on Orange Blossom Trail. He said he turned on his blinker to turn right on Carroll Street when a woman driving a four-door sedan left the roadway, traveled up the shoulder and passed him.

He said she cut him off from his turn in the process.

"It's sort of sunk in what happened, so I took off after her," Shrader told News 6. "I followed her up to Osceola Parkway. "

In the video recorded on Shrader's helmet camera, Shrader can be seen catching up with the woman on his motorcycle at the next stop light.

"Why did you do that back there?" he's heard asking the woman.

"Do what?" asked the woman, as she rolled up her window, refusing to talk to him anymore.

"Perhaps she saw me at the last minute and tried to avoid me," Shrader told News 6. "Perhaps that was it, but when she ignored me, that sort of threw mistake out the window, and it was more intention."

Shrader said the woman was pregnant and was rubbing her belly.

"My mom would be distraught if I was killed. What if it was her son or her daughter that was riding?" he asked.
