Heroin investigation in St. Cloud leads to 18 arrests, police say

ST. CLOUD, Fla. – Eighteen people are now in the Osceola County Jail after a three-month investigation targeting the sale and delivery of the heroin throughout the city of St. Cloud

The St. Cloud Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration conducted Operation Track Mark on May 25, which led to six search warrants being served and over 50 felony warrants issued, the Police Department said.

“The St. Cloud Police Department and the DEA remain committed to working with our state and local law enforcement partners to target drug dealers who choose to distribute dangerous drugs in our neighborhoods,”said Chief of Police, Pete Gauntlett.

Twenty-nine grams of heroin, 202 grams of cocaine, 14 grams of meth, 2 grams of methadone, and three guns were recovered.

“This investigation is an example of what creative and cooperative law enforcement partnership efforts can achieve and yield results, which successfully impact the abuse of illegal narcotics within our community,”said Gauntlett.

Nine suspects are still at large, the Police Department said.
