A house-sized asteroid will fly closer to Earth than the moon on Friday but the space rock does not pose a danger to the planet, according to NASA.
Space.com reported that the asteroid, named 2012 TC4, is about 56 feet wide and will come within 59,000 miles of Earth when it zip by.

Astronomers at Hawaii's Panoramic Survey Telescope, who first discovered the asteroid last week, expect the rock will make its closest approach around 2 a.m. Friday.
From Earth, the asteroid will move up along the southwest region of the constellation Sagittarius in the night sky.
NASA hopes to get measurements of the asteroid by using telescopes.
