Humberto remains a hurricane over Atlantic Ocean

Gabrielle strengthens back into tropical storm

ORLANDO, Fla. - Hurricane Humberto continues to remain a hurricane as it moves across the far-eastern Atlantic Ocean.

The Category 1 hurricane has maximum sustained winds late Thursday near 80 mph with gradual weakening forecast over the next few days.

Humberto is centered about 630 miles northwest of the Cape Verde Islands and is moving north near 12 mph .

Meanwhile, Gabrielle re-strengthened into a tropical storm after moving away from Bermuda.  The storm drenched the British territory, and Gabrielle's winds are near 40 mph.

The depression was centered about 450 miles south-southeast of Nantucket, Mass. and is moving north-northeast at 10 mph.
