I-95 reopens after crash shuts down southbound lanes in Volusia County

NEW SYMRNA BEACH, Fla. - Interstate 95 reopened Tuesday afternoon with just one lane blocked southbound after a crash shut down the southbound lanes in Volusia County on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred at 2:30 p.m. when a woman lost control of her car. It is believe that she may have tried overcorrecting, causing her car to flip.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman driving the vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital.

FHP said the woman has serious injuries.
