According to troopers, a tractor-trailer driven by Hamlet Alfonso Maseda, 38, of Hialeah, was headed southbound and could not stop as traffic slowed.  Maseda steered to the left to avoid traffic, and the big rig struck a car driven by Keith Gonzales, of Sunrise, who was taken to Viera Hospital with minor injuries, troopers said.

The tractor-trailer then struck a guardrail, and debris hit a northbound car driven by Eric Pomales, 23, of Palm Bay, according to troopers, who said Pomales suffered minor injuries.

Fuel spilled from the tractor-trailer and the interstate reopened after it was cleaned up, troopers said.

Maseda was ticketed for failure to maintain a single lane, according to the FHP.
