I-95 reopens in Volusia County after multiple crashes

No serious injuries reported

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – Interstate 95 in Volusia County reopens after multiple crashes forced officials to close northbound lanes of the interstate.

The crashes occurred around 7:30 a.m. Monday in northbound and southbound lanes of I-95 near State Road 44 in Volusia County.

Motorists on I-95 north were forced to exit at S.R. 44.  The entrance ramps from S.R. 44 to northbound I-95 were also closed.

No serious injuries were reported.

The Florida Highway Patrol cited driver error in the crashes, although dense fog blanketed the region Monday morning.
