Sujheil Burgado was sleeping on her couch, her two boys in their rooms, when a man broke in and started choking her.

"I thought I was gonna die, I thought this man was going to kill me, that's what I thought," she said.

Guillermo Mancio-Zambia, 22, was arrested on charges of burglary with assault/battery and possession or use of narcotics and paraphernalia.

"He came straight to grab me by my neck, that was the first thing he did," said Burgado, "he didn't do nothing else but that- and that just show me either he was looking to kill somebody or to take advantage of me."

Burgado fought back and managed to push him out the front door.

She says her neighbors heard her screams and came to her rescue.

"I need the police right now. I was asleep and this man came in my house and grabbed me," she said to a 911 operator. "He's outside fighting with everybody."

Burgado says she doesn't know Mancio-Zambia, and has never seen him before.

Deputies said Mancio-Zambia appeared to be under the influence of drugs and had difficulty standing.

The Sheriff's Office said none of the members of the crowd wanted to cooperate and left the scene shortly after deputies arrived.

Mancio-Zambia was found with a glass pipe possibly used to smoke crack cocaine, according to deputies.

Mancio-Zambia was arrested and taken to the Volusia County Branch Jail, where a judge placed him on a "no bond" status.
