J.C. Penney brings back free haircuts for kids

Last month's promotion becomes permanent

ORLANDO, Fla. – Take the cost of haircuts off your lists of expenses.  J.C. Penney announced on Monday that it will cut your kids' hair for free starting in November.

The announcement comes after the retailer offered a free haircut program during the month of August.   In that one month, alone, 1.6 million children received free haircuts at J.C. Penney.

The program will relaunch on Nov. 4, offering the free service every Sunday to children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Industry analysts say the overall health of J.C. Penney looks grim after two straight quarters of losses and a severe drop in sales.
