Jury finds Donald Williams guilty of murder in Lake County woman's death
Williams represented self in trial for slaying of 81-year-old woman
A jury has convicted Donald Williams on Thursday of murdering an elderly woman in Lake County in 2010.
Donald Williams represented himself in the trial after he fired his public defender in April.
Williams was caught on surveillance video in 2010 leaving a Leesburg Publix with 81-year-old Janet Patrick, who he had just met. About a week later, police found Patrick's body in Poinciana woods.
The penalty phase of the case will start on Tuesday. Williams could face the death penalty.
