Kidnapped man's body found in van in Orlando

Orange County deputies investigate 2 home invasions

ORLANDO, Fla. – The body of a kidnapped man was found early Tuesday in a van near an Ocoee elementary school, and deputies continue to search for four assailants involved in two Orange County home invasions.

The body of the man, identified as 36-year-old Abdel Younge, was discovered by investigators off Hackney Prairie near Clarcona Elementary School.

According to Orange County Sheriff's deputies, four masked men broke into a home in the 4400 block of Raleigh Street in Orlando around 9:30 p.m. Monday and demanded money and drugs.  The intruders tied up one man and kidnapped Younge, deputies said.  The other man was not injured.

About an hour later, the same group of assailants tied up a girl, who was not harmed, in a home invasion at Younge's home in the 2000 block of Remington Oaks Court in Ocoee, deputies said.  The intruders again demanded money and drugs.

Investigators later found Younge's body in a van stolen from his Ocoee home. Younge was shot to death and his hands were tied together.

The intruders were only described as having an unspecified accent.

Homicide detectives said the homicide was not a random act of violence.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
