The Daytona Beach News-Journal reported that the Volusia Bureau of Investigation,  along with several other local, state and federal agencies, conducted the drug operation Thursday morning.

Volusia County sheriff's officials said the ring was responsible for distributing significant quantities of heroin in Volusia County, primarily in Deltona.

Multiple arrests were made at homes and businesses, the newspaper reported.  The raided homes were in Deltona, Orange City and west of New Smyrna Beach, sheriff's officials said.
