Flight attendant hurt by turbulence over Kentucky

ORLANDO, Fla. – An Allegiant Air flight attendant was injured when a plane was struck by lightning while preparing to land in Kentucky, according to a WTVQ.com.

The plane landed safely Thursday at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, but the attendant, who was standing in the aisle, was injured when turbulence affected the aircraft.

The airplane's next flight was scheduled to arrive at Orlando-Sanford International Airport, leaving many passengers stranded for the night, the report said.

It's not known how much damage the lightning caused to the plane.
