The yearly program is the premier holiday event for families, businesses and residents in the city. This year, the event featured Trinity Downtown Evangelical Lutheran Church and School's annual Christmas show "The Gift," which will feature a choir of nearly 100 voices.

Festivities also include the lighting of a menorah, a sampling of holiday treats and an outdoor viewing of "Elf," starring Will Ferrell.

The tree lighting was set to begin at about 6:15 p.m.

Admission is free at the Lake Eola Park Amphitheater.
