Tuesday morning, she made her debut as she returned back to the air.

"Wow. It is good to be back," Sanchez said during her return to the morning show.

Sanchez was diagnosed with cancer last March and six chemo treatments later she's back and better than ever.

"It was an emotional day for everyone. There were tears everywhere, but I'm glad they were happy tears," Sanchez said.

It was a difficult journey for Sanchez, which kept her out of the workplace, but through the experience she was an open book.

Cameras documented the moment Sanchez decided to shave her head an emotional and difficult experience to share.

She said the outpouring of support from everyone is what helped get her to the moment of being back in front of the cameras with the same uplifting smile.

"It feels good though. That kind of welcoming lets you know you are really part of the team and part of the family," Sanchez said.
