2 motorcyclists seriously injured after early morning SR 434 crash

Neither passenger was wearing a helmet, deputies say

LONGWOOD, Fla. – Two people were seriously injured after being thrown from a motorcycle during the early morning hours on Thursday.

Police were called after a crash was reported on State Road 434 in Longwood near the intersection of Interstate 4. According to deputies, a black Harley Davidson motorcycle had lost control after exiting the ramp.

Officials say the motorcycle traveled across the westbound lanes across the median and both passengers, a man and a woman, were ejected from the vehicle. Neither of them were wearing helmets.

The passengers were both taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Their names have not yet been released.
