Armed, hooded man sought in Daytona ATM robbery, deputies say

Video surveillance catches robbery in act

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Police are looking for a man suspected of using a handgun to rob another man at an ATM early Friday morning.

A surveillance photo taken outside of the Wells Fargo bank on White Street in Daytona Beach shows the culprit, who had a gray hooded sweatshirt pulled over his face, pointing a handgun at the victim while the victim hands him money.

The victim told police he was at the walk-up ATM when a man approached him, asked him for money and told him he didn't want to shoot him, but he would if he had to, according to a police report.

The suspect took $349 and fled on foot.

A police K-9 unit was dispatched but was unable to locate the suspect.
