PALM COAST, Fla. - A mother of six working at a Flagler County gas station was found slain late Thursday night, and authorities continue to search for the assailant.
Deputies said a customer found the body of 32-year-old Zuheily Rosado around 10:30 p.m. on the floor behind the counter of the Mobil Gas Station on East State Route 100 in Palm Coast.
Sheriff's officials said Rosado died from an apparent gunshot wound.
The owner of the gas station said Rosado was the mother of six, including a 6-month-old baby.
Investigators say a man can be seen in surveillance video entering the store and pulling his shirt over his face. He ran out of the store a few minutes later, according to investigators, who would not say if the man robbed the store.
Overnight, deputies from Flagler and Volusia counties used K-9 units and a helicopter to look for the man but did not find him.
The assailant was described by officials as a light-skinned man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and wearing blue jeans and a dark T-shirt.
Detectives said the surveillance video will be released later.
Local 6 spoke to employees at the store who said they were shocked to hear of the shooting.
"It kind of blows my mind," said employee Rizzi Ansari. "You don't expect that, you just don't expect that. Still I don't believe that something happened to her."
