More than 500 thousand dollars was raised to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with breast cancer research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them.

Ann Romney, the wife of Republican Presidential nominee, Governor Mitt Romney, walked around Lake Eola as a participant and a breast cancer survivor.

While many of the participants appreciated her presence, dedicated supporters say this is a cause that goes beyond political party lines with a purpose to save lives and raise awareness.
