OCOEE, Fla. - An Ocoee boy is back at home and safe with this father after an extensive search.
Residents with hard line phones within a 5 mile radius of Tangerwood Court received a reverse 911 call about the child Friday night.
The 10 year left his house around 5:30 p.m. to play video games at a friends house.
He was supposed to be home by 8:00 p.m. but didn't show up.
His dad went looking for him and ended up calling the Ocoee Police Department.
The reverse 911 call and a neighborhood search did not locate the boy so detectives tried a creative approach.
They contacted the principal at Spring Lake Elementary School and they used a phone lists to contact the boy's known friends.
A father of one of the child's friends said his son was at a sleep over at another boy's house and the missing 10 year old was found safe at the same sleep over.
Lieutenant Mark Bryant with the Ocoee Police Department wants to remind parents to ask kids questions about where they are going and to make sure to have phone contacts for where they are supposed to be.
