Neighborhood locked down after 4-hour standoff

One shot during argument

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – A man was arrested and charged with attempted murder after barricading himself in an Altamonte Springs home early Saturday morning.

Police said Christopher Seckington, 52, shot Jeremy Williams, 31, in the shoulder during an argument at a home on Great Bend Road just before 4 a.m.

Seckington barricaded himself inside the home and refused to talk to officers. After nearly four hours, the suspect came out with the help of Seminole County SWAT team officers.

Williams was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said both men have extensive criminal histories, have been involved in drugs and have more than 30 combined arrests.
