Customer uses bottle of wine, Karate kick to scare off masked robber

No one injured in robbery at Orlando store

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 7-Eleven customer scared away a knife-wielding man Thursday morning moments after the man robbed the convenience store, and the altercation was captured on surveillance video.

The robbery happened around 2:15 a.m. at the convenience store on Orange Avenue and Landstreet Road in Orlando.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, a masked man walked into the store and demanded money from the cashier, who handed over some cash.

A customer in the store, however, grabbed a bottle of wine and confronted the robber, the video shows.  The customer kicked the knife out of the hand of the robber, who then ran away.

Deputies continue to search for the culprit, who was described as white man, about 6 feet tall and 160 pounds.  He was wearing a camouflage hat, camouflage pants and a blue shirt.

Detectives say the same culprit has robbed the same 7-Eleven two other times in the past month.

No one was injured in the incident.
