Disney-themed hoodies recalled for lead

Toddler-sized apparell contained excessive levels of lead

Thousands of Disney themed toddler hoodies are being recalled for lead paint.

The Children's Apparel Network announced Wednesday the voluntary recall of about 6,200 articles of clothing because they are in violation of the federal lead paint standard.

According to the news release, excessive lead levels were found on the surface coating on the zippers of the hoodies.The recalled product is a two-piece coordinated set with fleece hoodie and t-shirt that contain Snow White, Mickey House and Cars logos.

The products were sold exclusively at Target stores in the Washington, DC area. The Consumer Product Safety Commission has additional information and images on its website.
