FBI blocks autospy report of Boston bombing suspect's friend

Report: Todashev death still under investigation

ORLANDO, Fla. – The FBI is blocking the Orlando medical examiner from releasing the autopsy results for the friend of a Boston Marathon bombing suspect, according to a report.

USA Today reports the autopsy for Ibragim Todashev was completed on July 8. However, the FBI has told the medical examiner not to release any information because the case is still an active investigation.

FBI agents shot and killed the 27-year-old Chechen native in Orlando on May 22 while questioning him about his link to Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Agents were also investigating Todashev's link to a triple murder in Massachusetts in 2011.

Authorities claimed Todashev, who is trained in mixed martial arts, became angry and attacked the FBI agents.

Todashev's father claims his son was shot six times, including once in the back of the head. His father says agents killed his son "execution style."

The Florida chapter of the Council of American Islamic Relations has demanded an independent investigation into the shooting.
