Ford issues major recall of Escape models

Automaker says carpet could cause brake problems

ORLANDO, Fla. - Ford is recalling 10,000 cars that just came out.

There's a problem with the carpet that could interfere with your brake pedal.

We're talking about 2013 Escape Crossover vehicles.

The automaker says the carpet isn't the right size, and it could make you accidentally hit the brakes in the middle of traffic, causing a crash.

You'll get a letter in the mail if your car is affected, and Ford will fix the problem for free.
