Bushes break girl's fall at Orlando hotel

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 3-year-old girl survived a four-story fall from an Orlando hotel balcony.

The girl was not seriously injured Saturday night after falling into some bushes at the Marriott Grande Vista hotel in Orlando.

The girl, whose name was not released, was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital. According to the police report, the victim had scratches on her left arm and left knee.

Authorities said the girl's parents were in another part of the hotel and had left her with another adult relative. The girl was reportedly staying in the hotel with her grandmother, according to the report.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office and Florida's Department of Children and Families are investigating.  Charges may be filed, but the girl's fall appears to have been accidental.
