More rain expected in Central Florida

Dry weekend on tap in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – For the third straight day, rain is expected to fall across Central Florida.

Heavy rain fell across the Orlando area Wednesday night, and more storms moved through Central Florida -- mostly south of Orlando -- on Thursday.

"We'll see some more showers on Friday," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.  "It's going to be a gloomy day."

Friday's high will top off near 78 degrees, with rain chances at 40 percent.

The weekend will be dry with high temperatures reaching the upper 70s on Saturday and low 80s on Sunday.
