ORLANDO, Fla. – Two Orlando police officers were injured in an accident on Sunday evening.
Police said the officers were heading south on John Young Parkway with their lights and sirens on when they were hit by a white truck traveling east on West Colonial Drive.
Police shut down the intersection for several hours during their investigation.
Both officers were taken to the hospital. Police said they would likely be released late Sunday.
The driver of the truck was also transported. His condition was not immediately released.
It's unclear of the truck driver will be ticketed.
