ORLANDO, Fla. - It appears the rainy season has arrived in Central Florida, as severe thunderstorm warnings and flood advisories are issued in Orange, Marion, Polk and Osceola counties on Monday.
"Warm humid air is in place and will help to fire up afternoon storms across the Orlando area," said Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges.
Temperatures warmed to 87 degrees on Monday, with a 50 percent coverage of rain. Overnight lows will hover near 70.
High temperatures will stay near 90 into the weekend for Central Florida.
Rain chances increase 60 percent for Tuesday and Wednesday.
