ORLANDO, Fla. – An 11-year-old student in Orlando has been arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a weapon after a student was stabbed in the chest Wednesday with a pair of scissors.

The stabbing happened at Chain of Lakes Middle School on Conroy Windermere Road in Orlando as a result of an argument that started on the school bus.
Orange County Public Schools spokeswoman Kathy Marsh said an 11-year-old boy stabbed a 15-year-old boy in the chest as they were getting off a bus at the school.
Deputies said that the juveniles were involved in a dispute over a cellphone on the bus. Once the got off of the bus, the 15-year-old struck the 11-year-old twice in the head.
"Once they got off the bus, the victim approached the suspect, and struck him twice in the head," said Cpl. Ginette Rodriguez with the Orange County Sheriff's Office. "The suspect then retrieved a pair of scissors from his pocket and stabbed the victim once in the chest."
The stabbing victim, an eighth-grader, was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
The 11-year-old boy, a sixth-grader, was taken into custody on aggravated battery with a weapon, Orange County sheriff's deputies said.
The 15-year-old has not been charged with a crime as of Wednesday afternoon.
An investigation is ongoing.
The stabbing comes two days after an Osceola County middle school student was stabbed by a classmate in a fight over a Facebook post.
