Suspect in fatal downtown Orlando club shooting arrested

Durick Ingraham responsible for Dino Cannon's death, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police have arrested the suspect they say was responsible for the shooting death of an 18-year-old outside of a downtown Orlando nightclub more than a week ago.

Durick Ingraham was booked into the Orange County Jail late Monday night. Ingraham, 24, was charged with first-degree murder with a firearm for his involvement in the death of Dino Cannon, 18, on June 15 at Club LimeLite.

Ingraham appeared in front of a judge on Tuesday, where he said he will hire his own lawyer, Tim Barrett. The state also asked that Ingraham have no contact with any of the witnesses in the case and that he be held without bond.

Police said Cannon was defending his sister after Ingraham apparently touched her inappropriately. Police said that started a fight, and club bouncers kicked Ingraham out. But Ingraham waited in a nearby parking lot and shot Cannon in the chest around 2:30 a.m., police said.

Cannon had just gone to prom, graduated, and was planning to play football at a Texas university.

Ingraham has a record in Orange County with drug arrests and weapon-related charges. He is being held in the Orange County Jail.
