Palm Bay man arrested after breaking into house, shaving head, police say

Police say man attempted to steal bicycle

PALM BAY, Fla. – A 19-year-old Palm Bay man remains held on a $48,000 bond after police said he violated a court injunction by breaking into a woman's home and shaving his head.

Jeremy Spikes was also charged with burglary and theft after the woman called police to a home at 911 Glencove Ave. in the northwest section of Palm Bay to report the man lurking in the hallway near her bedroom, according to Local 6 news partner Florida Today.

Spikes was arrested and taken to the Brevard County Jail Complex and ordered by a judge Wednesday to have no further contact with the woman.

The woman told police that Spikes, who sported curly locks in a previous arrest photograph, had a freshly shaved head, something that made her fearful, reports show.

The woman asked Spikes to leave her home repeatedly, police said.

Police said Spikes then attempted to take a bicycle from the woman's living room but was thwarted when the woman yelled for him to leave again.

Police said Spikes also left behind stolen property in the woman's closet.
