Police: Jogger forced into car, made to perform sex acts

Clermont woman says she was kidnapped while jogging

CLERMONT, Fla. – Clermont police on Monday continue to search for the man who forced a jogger into his vehicle and made her perform sex acts.

Police said they responded to the area of Grand Highway and Pitt Steet Saturday night to meet with a woman who claimed she had been abducted.

Clermont police said the woman told them she was jogging on Grand Highway when she was approached by a man in a pickup truck.  The man in the truck tried to talk to her before forcing her into the truck and demanding sexual acts from her, according to police.

Police said the victim was released and that is when she called 911.  She said she didn't see the man carrying any weapons.

The victim was taken to South Lake Hospital to be checked out.

Police described the assailant as a black man in his mid- to late 20s, clean-shaven with a muscular build.  He was driving a 1990's small green pickup truck with a white stripe.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
