'Same shirt' bank robber arrested in Brevard

Thomas Lowell, 50, nabbed in Cocoa

COCOA, Fla. – Police on Friday arrested a man they say robbed a Bank of America in Cocoa on Thursday.

Thomas Lowell, 50, was apprehended around 1:30 p.m. Friday by Cocoa police at a home near Loquat and Stone Street.  Police surrounded the home and Lowell gave up a short time later, without incident, officials said.

Lowell was identified by police on Thursday as the man who handed a bank teller a note that read, "Give me all your money or I'll shoot."

Lowell got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police were able to identify Lowell because of another case they were working in which Lowell entered the same bank and cashed a fraudulent check. Police said he was wearing the same "Sons of Anarchy" T-shirt Thursday as he was when he allegedly committed the crime several weeks ago.
