TITUSVILLE, Fla. – A woman who was trying cross Highway 50 near Windover in Titusville Tuesday night was struck by a car and killed.
Police said one car saw the woman and slowed down, but a second car attempted to pass that car, didn't see the woman and struck her.

The woman, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said there is no crosswalk in the area where the woman attempted to cross the street, but police say there are indications she was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and that may have played a role in what happened.
The driver of the car that hit the woman was not hurt.
