"I just got beat up," the 89-year-old man said to a 911 dispatcher.

"A guy with a pistol," the man replied.  "He hit me with a pistol."

The man also told the dispatcher that the couple stole some jewelry and cash.

Saulenas was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released.

Police, who said the attack appeared to be random, did not release a description of the assailants.
