Man accused of molesting girls at Disney water park speaks out

Perry Stiles bonds out of Orange County Jail

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – The attorney representing the man accused of molesting girls inside the wave pool at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon says he is waiting for the State Attorney to file formal charges against his client.

Local 6 spoke to attorney Jerry Jenkins, who says he will not comment on the allegations until he see all the evidence.

On Monday night, Perry Stiles, of Kissimmee told Local 6 he is not guilty of touching the girls.

"If I touched anybody it was accidental," he said, walking out of the jail. "You don't want to ruin a person's life with an accusation and a charge"

Stiles' wife told Local 6 off-camera, that the wave pool was crowded, her husband was not wearing his glasses, and he may have touched a few people.

Local 6 legal analyst Luis Calderon says the fact that four victims have come forward, one of them a 15-year-old, all saying Stiles touched them inappropriately, doesn't back that story up.

"When you have victim after victim after victim how many misunderstandings can you really have," he said.

Calderon says Stiles' defense will have to interview the victims and the witness, who claims to have seen Stiles go underwater and reach for someone's backside.

"We interview the witnesses and try and get a very clear and specific retelling of what happened- and compare that to the statements and see if they're congruent- or if there are conflicting statements there," he said.

Stiles' wife tells Local 6 she was at the water park with her husband on Sunday, but wasn't in the wave pool when he crossed paths with his accusers.

Stiles does not have a criminal record in Florida.

If convicted of lewd and lascivious molestation, he could face up to 15 years in prison.
