COLLEGE PARK, Fla. – A man unloading his car outside his College Park home was ambushed late Monday night by a man carrying a gun and knife, according to Orlando police.
The attempted robbery and carjacking happened around 10 p.m. in the 1300 block of Gunnison Avenue.
According to police, the man returned home and was removing items from his car while his vehicle was running. A man with a gun and knife then suddenly approached the victim and demanded his keys and wallet, police said.
The victim threw his wallet over the assailant's head and ran away, said Orlando police, who added that the culprit also fled the area.
A detailed description of the gunman was not known.
